First day.

Yeah it was my first day at work. Made my way to Outram MRT station, but ended walking to the N-S line, as if i was on my way to SIP at Redhill. Maybe too used to that for 4 months already lah. Anyway, when i finally reached SGH, but didn't know where to report to. Ended waiting so long, until i called up the job agency.

I finally met up with my supervisor, also the one who interviewed me yesterday. She was a very nice lady, who is just nice lah. She introduced the people of Materials Management Department (MMD) to us. I kinda know who the easy-going people and who the hard-to-get-along people are now. Heh. And MMD is only opposite the MRT station! And it's so convenient when i have my dental appointment!

Other than me, another part-timer who joined me is a guy named Jing Yi, whom i already met yesterday during the interview ytd. The 2 TP friends probably didn't take up the job. Anyway, this guy is probably one of the nicest guy i ever seen. He speaks very good English, and looks very refined. Probably one from those wealthy families. Not trying to be gay, but he's quite good looking. We get along together quite well, since we talk about the same topics like army and uni stuffs, and yes he has likings to english oldies like i do!

Another shocking thing that i heard from him is that, during his NS days, whenever he gets to book out, he goes to SIM for night classes, and then gets back to camp before 2359!! He just got ORD-ed not long ago, and now he'll soon be graduating from SIM soon. I'm really amazed that there actually such super guai kia people around. Check out my other crude friends.. Oh no no no no! Haha.

Speaking of the work, it's actually a quite easy but yet tedious task. We're supposed to remove all the overflowing POs (Purchase Orders) from the ring files and transfer the extra to the next file according to the PO numbers. I tell you, some of the POs from some files are as fat as my friend.. i mean as fat as me. Haha. Seems like an easy job, but it was very dusty and tiring. We did one whole cabinet worth of files! About 50 files today! The extra overflowing POs could now fill up to 4-5 ring files! Time really flies while doing that. They're hiring us because the auditors are coming in next month to check. Haha.

Yes, it was more admin stuff. We're luckily that we aren't wanted by the warehouse to do anything! If not i would be sweating and doing manual work, aka "coolies". Haha.


The very small, but yet special staff toilet that i wanted to mention. Go toilet got secret code leh, somemore in mixture of alphabets and numerals. The signs aren't indicated using male and female symbols, but using David Beckham and Britney Spears! Quite creative i think. But somewhat i think both the celebrities no link leh. Should be David Beckham and Victoria Beckham what!

After work, i met up with Shaoqi and his friend, Jiaming. All of us are working in SGH. SQ in the pharmacy and Jiaming as some IT guy. I tried looking for SQ at the pharmacy during lunch hours but just got to the wrong one.

Anyway, I was supposed to sign a contract with Angela from my job agency. They wanted to accompany down to Suntec, but it was too late already. So they asked Angela to join us at PS for dinner. Yeah, 3 of them are classmates in TP, so it's quite possible. I think all 3 of us in SGH are introduced by her. And so we shopped and walked, and went MOS Burger for dinner. Of course i did sign that contract there.

Down there, there's this wrong order for fried mussels that were sent to our table. We finished them, and when the MOS guy came and asked, we all act gong. HAHA! And i would say that Angela damn look like a slimmer version of Melissa Sim!

Woah, i got to know quite alot of friends today ah. Although all of them are new friends, but i'd would say they're nice ones. Haha. Good days ahead, Shawn! :)
