I forgot to bring my handphone along to work. This is so inconvenient. Wanted to contact my friends but didn't had their numbers in head. But it's okay lah, no one calls or text me. There are times when my handphone was in rest for don't know how many days, how sad. Haha.
And i nearly thought i lost my phone for the 4376345326574th time again . :)
Until today, then i recalled i had a mahjong tutorial at my colleagues' house this Sunday. I know nuts about Big 2 (dai di) not to even mention mahjong. I think the only card game i know best is Blackjack (ban luck). Haha! All the 7 of them are nice ladies, even thought of going to K-Box and giving me a treat on my last day. In fact, i get food treats by alot of my current colleagues.
Let me see how much mahjong skills i can learn this sunday.
Just like reached home not long ago. But let's just talk about yesterday first.
Went to look for Angela at her office at Suntec to pass her the timesheet with Shaoqi. But she wasn't there. Anyway, we went for dinner with their other friend, Poh Suan. She's another very friendly girl. We went to Waraku for dinner, chatted and even ordered Sake to drink! The sake was not too bad!
After dinner, we walked around Marina Square. We wanted to catch a movie, but was cancelled b'cos of the show timings and seats. Then we went home, after a short walk.
Then today.
Finally met up with the 2 army guys, Felix and Kelvin. And together with Weili, Kokboon, Shaoqi and Leeleng. They're finally out without sight for 2 weeks, botak and quite tanned. Haha! Especially Felix Chang, he looks super cute with his botak hair, his head looks round! WAHAHAHA!
We went to PS, with the intention of watch Red Cliff the movie. Then went Cathay "next door", to check out. Both places were full. Disappointing. Then we decided to sit down at some restaurant to chat or eat, and i was really hungry! Headed to Timbre but was full. Disappointing yet again.
Although today's outing wasn't very successful and ideal, but it's good enough just to see and meet my friends. Smell more of shopping centres and HOME, and type more words in MSN before going back in "jail" again! :) (my turn will come very soon too!)
I stayed at home today again. I'm fine now, stopped medication already. Head is still feeling a little weird. Anyway, time was really hard to pass. The whole day i was just walking around at home, watching tv and playing games. And also singing songs loudly at home to myself. HAHA! Didn't had friends to chat online as well (So sadddd!). I just merely "dragged" time till now. Even now, i think time is going way too slow.
The past 3 days have really been boring. Doing nothing but sleeping and taking medication. Seriously, i would sleep for almost the whole day. And surprisingly, i'm very looking forward to go office tomorrow. My supervisor must be very busy without me. Haha.
AND! Tricia Koh is really EVIL! She wished that my fever would go even higher! And she's still laughing about that! See? What an evil girl! She's no longer the guai guai prefect with the super nerdy hairstyle, she's changed! (I'm gonna expose your pic someday) :P
Not forgetting to wish Jiamin.. HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY! I wished her exactly at 12am, but this is what she replied me, "Thanks, pal. That's the nicest thing you have done." Hey come on!!!! It sounds like i'm always not nice to her lor! I'm always that nice okay. :D
It was bad, real bad last night. Just after i finished the previous post. Have not encountered any worse than that in the past few years. I don't think i got fever since my secondary school days. As compared, common flu(s) and sore throats are still bearable.
Last night, like i've mentioned, i felt even colder and even had to put on a jacket at home. Head is having serious headache, dizzy spells and body feeling both warm and cold. Face was very red. Terrible. Body temperature rose again to 39.5°C.
What a night to endure. Called up office early in the morning to inform my supervisor. I was so afraid i'll be accused of AWOL such that i even dreamt of telling her in my dream. Took the medicine after seeing the doc. Then i went back to sleep again as the medication was so strong and drowsy.
Yes, the fever has subsided, but the nap has caused me to changed 2 t-shirts. I was quite drenched in sweat, regardless did i turn on the fan or the aircon. I believe yesterday night was the same as well, but didn't noticed as i was too sound asleep then. This truly surprised me. Hmm, it was quite uncomfortable sleeping, but under the strong effects of paracetamol who could still be clear and awake, much less care about that?
But now, I'm feeling much better, but my head is still spinning. Still didn't have much appetite during dinner. But currently, i'm still contemplating whether to go to work tomorrow. And also, mum mentioned my more cheerful look now is definitely better than the crying for help look yesterday.
This are some tablets meant for my high fever, but i find it very cute. I don't recall i came across any tablets like these, not of any i could recall of in my entire medication history. What's more, it's in this bright-pink colour. Interesting.
Woke up early in the morning feeling hot and cold, Couldn't really get to sleep last night. When i felt cold, i pulled over the blanket, then not long after i feel hot again, then the process goes over and over again. I hate this.
I had a 38.7°C fever. But still dragged myself to meet Caleen and Tricia have Waraku for lunch. They finished some 10km race around that area. And I really had an urge to eat that. Haha. But along the way, i knew my decision was wrong, having serious headache and irregular temperatures. Feeling real bad. :(
Tricia's bf was really nice to drive us to Boon Keng station. And luckily i took back my decision to watch Hellboy with the other guys. Went home and slept all the way till late dinner time. I dont think i can make it for work tml already, but just thinking how to contact my supervisors and tell them, since i don't have their numbers. Heh.
Currently i feel like aircons and fans blowing towards me concurrently, and getting goosebumps every now and then. It's seriously intolerable. Sigh.
You must have guessed. Yup, i just came home from Chomp Chomp. But let's talk about yesterday first.
Went to Chomps for supper with JM & gang yesterday, instead of having beancurd at some other place. We waited for Bryan who is very late at this Frolick yoghurt shop. Before i go into this, i have to ask Felix, "Remember FROLICK? And the FROLICK GIRLS?" Lol. :)
The girls tending the shop wasn't whom we saw at the exhibition. But I like the shop, i like the ambience, i like the work they're doing. The two girls were playing songs from the 80s' aka the mambo songs. Suddenly, i have a thought. I wished i could open a small shop, playing music that i like and share with my customers. Or at least allow me to work in an environment, which i could play my music freely. Still, just a thought.
Anyway, they shared a cup together. I was busy grooving with the songs so much so that JM has to stop me, i didn't manage to taste it. Seriously i'm still in the "mambo" mood, still collecting those songs. I should put up one playlist some day. Coming back, i heard the yoghurt tasted nice.
Then we had supper opp. at Chomps. I really love Chun Hong's hokkien mee, super nice.
The next day...
Was supposed to watch Hellboy, but most turned me down, so it was cancelled. Then i decided to jio Weili to Chomps again. Gotta try the hokkien mee and Frolick. True enough, i did. Ordered it and shared a plate of chicken wings with WL. His prawn noodles was delicious too, esp. the soup!
Then i met Ariel, like finally! Been like at least 4-5 months since i've seen her! Still as bitchy as before. Haha! Then me and Weili, headed to Frolick, where Beatrice was working at. But today, there's no songs like yesterday man! Oh yah, Beatrice only listen to sad and emo songs, so better not!
Alongside, we met Jiahui from NVSS, she knew WL but she didn't recognise me!! HOW CAN IT BE! I'M A WELL-KNOWN PERSON IN NVSS! I'm so so so disappointed. Haha, joking lah. And so, i bought a cup and chatted a while with Beatrice, before strolling around Ser. Gardens with WL. And I discovered that Frolick could cleanse your digestive system, effective for clearing your bowels. You get it? :D
And this very funny incident about the Frolick yoghurt, you gotta hear it, Beatrice and my gang!
Before anything happened, I was discussing with Weili the prices and size of the yoghurt cup, as they come in Cup A, B and C(s). As we were walking, we met that Jiahui again. Our conversation..
Weili started asking.. Weili: Eh you Cup B ah?
She looked blank for a second. Her: Err, yah.
Then we talked for other stuffs, and left.
After we did, Weili said he heard her whispered to her friends, "Eh i thought he was talking about my bra size leh." When he told me that, i was really laughing out loud! Then we headed back, and Weili told her,
Weili: Eh i think you misunderstood my words already. I was talking about the yoghurt cup size! Her: Huh, you heard huh?! Orhh, i know lah!
Then we laughed together! It's so freaking hilarious lah! Yeah, we've got a new thing to disturb Weili already! So, next time better think before saying anything! Haha!
Yes, it's Friday once again. Time really passes real fast, at a wink of the eye, another week has gone. It has been quite a tired and boring week to go through. I foresee i'll be sleeping and surfing the net in the upcoming weeks. I really can't do w/o my sleep, i really cherish it now. Call me a pig.
Met Marilyn from NVSS on the MRT while on the way home. Had a great catch up with each other. She really changed a lot, don't look the "old" one i knew. Just can't tell what's different now.
Right now. I can't make up my mind whether to go out with JM and gang. Going for some tau huey supper at someplace.I don't feel like going. I'm really so tired, with the super swollen & heavy eyebags, that could probably slap your face with. But the "other" Shawn tells me to go, because they are my friends. Awww. Let's wait & see.

On Tuesday night.
Had 6 free tickets for the premiere preview for the movie, Batman. Asked Tricia, Caleen and Beatrice initially, but all couldn't make it at the end. I actually only had SQ in mind, but i thot we can only hold up 2 tickets then, so i asked the girls first. Anyway, a couple of them agreed and declined, making George, Tong Kiat and Shaoqi the final takers. Oh yes, the remaining 2 tics were left wasted.
I've been to quite alot of these movie events (thanks to my mum) together with my friends, but this time i was kinda surprised. Before entering the theatre, we were held up by this very muscular guy, wearing the "Security" t-shirt. He has to check our bags, and have to surrender all camera and handphones to the counter. This is indeed the first time i encountered this. But then again, it's a sneak preview so i understand it's for anti-piracy purposes.
Speaking of the movie, it's a very cool and nice one. Effects are cool, plot is good and the characters are handsome and pretty. But the only setback is the duration of the movie. Wowwwwww. Started 9.15PM, and ended 11.50PM.

This has been quite a rather good week, but just the usual and frequent tiredness that displeases me. Work is still going smoothly at the moment. But just a little lonely nowadays. 2 best friends in army now, not trying to be gay, but i kinda miss them now. Now even Shaoqi is hard to meet up, I'll be lucky if i can meet him for lunch at SGH. I have no more friendssssssssss already! :(
Cutting all that bullshit out, i really have to mention I like my hair now. It's super cooling at the back, especially when the cool air blows in the MRT. Wow. No sweat. Waha.
And, i've got a new pair of glasses. If you have noticed, i've been wearing the metal-framed one. It's because my old black-framed one broke. You might think my new pair is not of any difference, but there is lah. Initially, i wanted something more geeky, but that seems too "action" already, so i decided not to. But what's important is that my vision has improved! As in the degrees was lowered! Now it's 525 for both eyes. It seems that it's dropping with every visit there! GOOD! Congrats me please. :)
What about WORK in SGH?
I really get well with most of the colleagues well, except for the bigger bosses aka the "4-heavenly kings". I'd say my department is really a food department, i'm always offered with food, food, food. Damn, i have to run extra laps again!
Just a week ago, we had this "bread-making" event in office. Toasting bread accompanying with stuff like luncheon meat, tuna, vegetables, etc. Didn't have to pay at all. Then today, i was treated free Mac for lunch because i had helped them out with lots of PO sorting. But then again, it's my job, so its not really necessary for the treat. But i sincerely thank them for it. :)
Embarassing moments..
I was speaking with Miss Pencil Skirt on the phone regarding some samples to be submitted in few days ago. Our conversation..
Me: Hi! It's me, Shawn, we'll need some samples for the item, Mammary Prosthesis and Tissue Expanders, i wonder when can you deliver them?
Her: Hi Shawn! Errrr. Can you repeat the items again?
Me: Ohh, it's the Mammary Prosthesis and Tissue Expanders.
Her: Orhhh. You mean the breast implants huh?
Me: Errr. Yah yah yah.
You should see the awkwardness i had while on the phone. I knew the what that item was, but didn't wanted to say "breast implants" because it sounded too.... you know, too "straightforward", and moreover speaking to a lady.
I felt quite paiseh because i had the "wah lao, don't act cheem leh!" feeling myself, although she didn't mention anything.

Me: Errr, it's not a blanket, it's a blah blah blah table.
Her: Errr, that's not what i meant. Nevermind, do you have the PO number instead?

- I was running this errand myself the other day at SGH, and met that two beautiful vendors i was mentioning TOGETHER at the MOT (Major/Central Operating Theatre), and we chatted like i was so friend-friend with them! I'm so damn heng lah, even my supervisor also said that! I'm like meeting more friends at work already!
- And also had dinner with Bryan and gang yesterday at Bugis. We ate Tian Tian Steamboat. That Jiamin lah, craved for steamboat. We ate till we're very full!
- Went for a haircut again today. Yes again. Mum was complaining, and i also couldn't make anything out of that pile of shit anymore. I brought the "i-dont-care-if-its-ugly" feeling along, since i'm entering army soon, and could be even uglier. This time it's really short.
Without sideburns, with slight slope. The back looked bob. I was chatting with my hairdresser, and she suggested that. Looks kinda cool, with the bob-looking hair!
- Felix finally called me up in Tekong! Telling me stuff there, hope he's "enjoying"! :)

It was Andy's birthday, so we went to Park Royal Hotel to have buffet there. Food served there was not bad, costs about 30 bucks/person. From sushi, wanton soup, choc fondue all the way to roasted beef. Large variety of food, i'd say.
That playful Caleen like usual, made a BEEF FONDUE! Those who lose to her in a guessing game have to eat it! Only that Andy played with her! LOL. (Forgot who ate it already, was it Andy?)

All of us worked for this as our "last job before NS". Didn't wanted to, as i'm really that tired after the 5 days of work in that week, and even going to work on Sat and Sun! But that's okay lah, it's quite fun too, and knowing new people.
I really have to mention that bum, Weili! Our supervisor passes instructions to Kelvin, our section IC, then he passes the instructions to us. I did alot of work lor, Weili kept running away from the work! Kelvin, I'm your best assistant right?!
